Joyful Trees (Arbores Laetae)
Oil Street Art Space has invited the internationally renowned architectural team DS+R (Diller Scofidio + Renfro) to redesign their work "Joyful Trees (Arbores Laetae)", which was originally exhibited at the 2008 Liverpool Biennial, and bring it to Oi!’s new art space. We have invited the architectural team to share their design concept and creative process for the project, as well as their expectations for the Hong Kong version of the work.
The project aims to invite visitors to enter the greeneries and explore the fascinating side of nature through human intervention in limited urban space. We have invited the head of the Art Promotion Office, the curator of Oi!, the DS+R team, and the engineering consultants to share more project details, so that visitors can better understand the construction process and significance behind this installation art.
