Plate Creations is a video agency located in Hong Kong, offering full range of video solutions.
 Founded
 by Eric Tsang, we work closely with organizations of all 
sizes to help them tell their stories with a humanistic touch.

Venice Architecture Biennale 2023 


Plate Creations produced videos for two exhibits at the Venice Architecture Biennale 2023: "Unsettled Ground" by Justin Hui and "Common Ground: Constructing Civic Spaces of the Future" conceptualized by Kris Provoost Photography. Our objective is to illustrate how the architectural designs of Hong Kong, viewed through an innovative lens, engage with the ever-evolving future and epitomize the city's distinctive urban typology.
In the artwork of "Unsettled Ground," we collaborated with Justin to visually contrast photos captured over the past decade at construction sites in the northern border areas of Hong Kong with those from Chinese construction sites in African countries. We paired and presented these comparisons in a video format.
For "Common Ground: Constructing Civic Spaces of the Future," we collaborated to create a video featuring a left-to-right stutters format. This video combines real photos and illustrated floor plans of public housing estate shopping centers in Hong Kong from the past, present, and future. The aim is to explore the unique architectural styles that represent Hong Kong.

UST Intake 2024: Reshape The Future


Plate Creations collaborated with HKUST to produce three promotional videos for the 2024 HKUST undergraduate intake admission. We engaged local, mainland Chinese, and international students to introduce various undergraduate programs and share their study experiences at HKUST by using Cantonese, Mandarin, and English – representing three different languages. Besides, we also produced more than 20 reels short videos about a huge variety of the HKUST undergradute programs to post on social media. The goal is to elevate the global perspective, ensuring students from diverse regions gain a comprehensive understanding of HKUST's undergraduate programs, thus fostering the attraction of talent from around the world.

Dementia: Everylife is a song Documentary


"Every Life is a Song" is a campaign co-founded by music producers Vicky Fung and Yiu Fai Chow. They share the belief that music has the power to unite hearts, enabling each individual to discover their unique voice, express their thoughts, and create a unique song for everyone. This time, apart from creating music, they delved into a topic that affects society—dementia. They hoped to use music as a medium to capture and remember memories related to those who suffer from dementia.
The creation process, from inception and brainstorming to composition, practicing, and performing the live concert, along with participants' ideas and concepts, was documented in a documentary video produced collaboratively by Plate Creations and TaiKwun. The aim is to help the audience understand the needs of dementia patients and their caregivers, raising public awareness for those in need.

Moving Castle


“Moving Castle” is a 2023 song released by a Hong Kong band, Nowhere Boys. Plate Creations took up the production of the music video. In the music video, each of the two characters is played by three actors and actresses to represent the three life stages: children, adults, and seniors. When there is music, there is happiness.
